Lobelia White Lady Lobelia Erinus is a herbaceous tender perennial plant native to southern Africa. If Lobelia White Lady seeds are started indoors in winter 10 - 12 weeks before the last frost is due, the flowering can start as early as mid spring, and this upright, bushy, compact growing Lobelia variety blooms with masses of bright, white flowers against green foliage creating unforgettable display of white color. Blooming Lobelia attracts butterflies and other pollinators.
Lobelia White Lady is highly suitable for growing as a compact, flowering ground cover or edging plant. Like all Lobelias, the White Lady variety is excellent for containers, in the foreground of flower beds, edging borders, hanging baskets and rock gardens. Lobelia Erinus seeds needs light to germinate, so the surface sowing is suggested. Lobelia White Lady grows best in organically rich, evenly moist, well-drained soils in full sun to part shade, and Lobelia reseeds itself freely.
