Moss Verbena Verbena Tenuisecta is a tender perennial native to South America. Moss Verbena seeds can be started directly outdoors, and this plant that can be grown as a perennial in USDA zones 7-11 or as an annual elsewhere. Also commonly called Cutleaf Verbena and South American Mock Vervain, Verbena Tenuisecta is a stunning flowering plant that blooms in spring and summer with spike-like clusters of 5 to 15, blue to purple and violet to lilac flowers. The blooming Moss Verbena is a good source of nectar for honeybees, butterflies, and hummingbirds. 

Moss Verbena is perfect for roadside plantings and reclamation, and its low-growing, spreading growth makes Moss Verbena an ideal drought-resistant, evergreen ground cover with aromatic, ferny, finely cut foliage.
