The Poached Egg Plant flowers are showy and rich in nectar so they attract masses of beneficial insects including honeybees, butterflies, hoverflies, aphids, mites, mealy bugs and caterpillars.
Meadowfoam Common makes a wonderful annual flowering ground cover, and a dense, compact growing Poached Egg Plant can be found growing in flower beds, borders, path edges, patios, rock gardens, containers and pots. The plant is also can be used as a companion plant to crops and as a green manure, because this flower attracts pest predators such as hoverflies and ladybugs, thereby reducing pest problems in your garden.
