Cosmos Sonata Red Dwarf Cosmos Bipinnatus is a compact, half-hardy annual native to Mexico. Cosmos Sonata Red Dwarf are easily grown from seeds, and often called Mexican Aster or Cut Leaf Cosmos this dwarf Red Cosmos has a compact growth habit reaching only 12-24 inches in height. Cosmos Sonata Red has medium-green, fern-like foliage with finely cut leaves, and produces dazzling, large 3 inches across, carmine-red flowers. Cosmos Sonata is a heavy bloomer, and the Cosmos flowers appear all summer and fall until first frost attracting butterflies and bees to the garden.
Dwarf Cosmos is often grown in borders, containers and big pots. The Cosmos plants are a wonderful addition to wildflowers in naturalized areas.
