Bellflower Superba Campanula Glomerata is an extremely long-lived perennial that can be started from flower seeds. Bellflower Superba is a compact, clump-forming plant that features lance-shaped, medium-green foliage and produces clusters of stunning, 1 inch in diameter, deep-purple, violet flowers with a glistening almost metallic sheen. Campanula Superba blooms throughout the season, but the bellflower flowers appear most in early summer attracting hummingbirds, bees and butterflies.
Bellflower Superba is outstanding for perennial borders, rock gardens, mass planting in naturalized areas, and other various garden applications. Campanula Superba seeds can be planted indoors or outdoors, and the surface sowing is recommended for these bellflower seeds. Campanula Glomerata grows well in sun or partial shade and the fertile, moist, well drained soil is preferable for growing this plant. Reaching 20 inches in height, Bellflower Superba has intensely colored, violet flowers and stiff stems that make it a delightful cut flower.
