Daisy Garland Chrysanthemum Coronarium is an annual herb native to the Mediterranean region. Daisy Garland can be easily grown from seeds, and also called Crown Daisy, Garland Chrysanthemum, and Edible Chrysanthemum this fine, bushy plant features attractive, deeply cut foliage with aromatic, bipinnately lobed leaves and produces multitudes of cheerful, yellow or white and yellow, small rayed flowers.
Daisy Garland makes a good textural addition to the border, and Crown Daisy provides a dazzling display when mass planted. Chrysanthemum Coronarium seeds produce a leafy herb that is one of the few annual plants in its genus, and Garland Chrysanthemum is not just an attractive garden flower and long lasting cut flower, but this plant is also considering to be a vegetable. The young leaves and stems of Garland Daisy are eaten as greens or used in soups, stews, hot-pots, and stir-fry in traditional Cantonese cuisine, and its flower heads are also edible. Crown Daisy grows best in mild or slightly cold climates, but it will go quickly into premature flowering in warm summer conditions.
